Events
Miss Smith runs a variety of events for adults and children throughout the year.
Studio Members receive free or discounted entry to most events, and are encouraged to take advantage of the varied opportunities on offer.
Many of the events are also open to the public, with all very welcome to join us. There is something for everyone, with all abilities catered for - from new beginners to advanced musicians, as well as those who just love music.

Regular events:
*Studio Concerts (for child Studio Members) - 3 per year
An opportunity for students to perform for family in a supportive environment, celebrate progress and achievements, and make friends with other young musicians. These special occasions are always a highlight of the term, and we have lots of support and options available so that even my most shy and nervous students can feel able to take part.
*Adult Learner Workshops (any adult learner) - 3 per year
Practical sessions with a friendly, mixed-ability adult group, looking at a variety of topics together. Past topics have included: improvisation, performance anxiety, playing with others, pulse and rhythm, effective practice, playing for dancing, how to harmonise, and more.
*Adult Learner Ensemble (any adult learner) - 4 per year
A chance to play together with other adult learners - and to learn how to do so! No audition and students can take part after just a few lessons. Originally set up for my violin students, but has since expanded to include cello and clarinet, and all other orchestral instruments are also welcome!
*Music Fun Day (any aged 5-11) - 1 per year
A day of musical fun! Activities can include: singing, craft, games, ceilidh dancing, instrument-making, composing, Boomwhackers, rhythm cups, and more.
