A68 Young Scottish Country Dancers
A68 YSCD is a fun and friendly new children's Scottish dance group based in Darlington.
Classes take place weekly on Fridays (during term time) at Hummersknott Acadmy, 4.30-5.30 pm for everyone (beginners welcome), and 5.30-6.00 pm for senior dancers.
As well as enjoying learning the steps and dances together each week, the A68 children also have the opportunity to take part in local and national festivals and displays, whilst the senior dancers are supported in joining local adult SCD events - which our older girls really enjoy.
Through affiliation with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, our group can not only access more dancing opportunities, but have a connection to other dancers of all ages, across the UK and all over the world!
Beginners are extremely welcome and no prior experience is required - all new starters need is a pair of soft-soled shoes, a bottle of water, and plenty of enthusiasm! Anyone in School Year 3 or above can join us; first week is free, so why not come along and see how much fun Scottish dancing can be!
